Zoe Saldaña Bares Her Black Lace Bra Under Merlot-Colored Silk Button-Up

Zoe Saldaña attended the Locarno Film Festival in Locarno, Switzerland, on August 9 alongside her husband of 13 years, Margo Perego.

While at the festival, one of the actress’s looks was a merlot-colored silk button-up, which the Lioness star had unbuttoned to her stomach.

This allowed for a peek at her black lace bra underneath, which she documented on her Instagram Stories.

On August 9, the actress wore—at least for part of the day—a shirt that was left unbuttoned to her stomach, allowing for a glimpse of what was underneath. She kept her makeup minimal and wore her hair parted down the center, as the Lioness star posed for a couple of selfies—one solo and one with Perego—which ended up on her Instagram Stories.

Onstage at the festival, the Oscar winner engaged in a “lively conversation” that “ranged from her upbringing in New York and [the] Dominican Republic to her current and future acting roles,” Variety reported. She also expressed interest in a potentially new career path—directing.

“I have a feeling that I can only watch other people’s direction for so long until I kind of say, ‘Give me that camera!’” Saldaña told the crowd. “Because women, we all think that we’re right because we are half the time. So I would like to prove myself.”

TIME—which named the Avatar star one of its 100 most influential people in the world this year—called Perego “her most vocal cheerleader.” Saldaña—who has been married to Perego since 2013—agreed.

“My husband is my helium,” she said. “He’s always gassing me up, like, ‘You’re amazing, you’re beautiful.’ Meanwhile, his offspring can’t stand me. Don’t get me wrong, they’re proud of me. But they don’t watch anything I’m in. It’s the most humbling thing.”

Saldaña and Perego have three sons—11-year-old twins and a 9-year-old. After she won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2025 for her role in Emilia Pérez, “My youngest was like, ‘Did you win for supporting or lead?’” she told TIME. “And just because he said that, I’m now trying not to sabotage myself. I’m trying not to think, ‘Well, now I need to go win lead.’”

Perego, though, was quick to point out what Saldaña has already done in her career—she has become the highest-grossing actor in the history of film, surpassing Scarlett Johansson to take the crown. TIME reported that Saldaña’s movies have grossed more than $15.47 billion globally.

Her recent project includes season three of Paramount’s Lioness, which premiered on August 2. In the show, Saldaña stars opposite fellow Oscar winner Nicole Kidman, who Saldaña called a “dream come true for me to just share air with.”

The two women took a girls’ trip—with Perego included—to Mykonos earlier this month, and both have been effusive about one another as they promote the show’s most recent season. “I respect her so much,” Saldaña said of Kidman. “I admire her. She’s an incredibly talented woman, but what she is first and foremost, what I love the most, is she’s a mother. She’s a daughter. She’s a sister. She’s a friend. And she plays all of those roles beautifully.”

Kidman returned the praise, telling People, “I just love her. She’s just so fun, and she’s so generous, and a girl’s girl. So you get this kind of…we come into work, but then we have so many other things that we rely on. So the work is here, but then we have all this.”

Like her trip to Mykonos, Saldaña—the definition of booked and busy—is trying to find balance amid the work. “I’ve been healthy,” she told TIME. “I’ve been present with my family. I feel like when I take these mental breaks like that to live, then I become really creative and really energized.”
