- Actress Tori Spelling has remembered actor Patrick Muldoon, who died Sunday.

- The two dated briefly in the '90s, around the time he was working on *Melrose Place* and she starred on *Beverly Hills, 90210*.

- Spelling had revealed that she and Muldoon called each other "f--- face."

Tori Spelling has nothing but love for her late ex-boyfriend Patrick Muldoon, who died April 19. He was 57.

"This post took me a couple days. I wasn’t ready to write because then it felt real. And, this shouldn’t be real," Spelling wrote in an expansive tribute on Instagram late Tuesday. "Like every other girl in the world I crushed on his character Austin from Days of Our Lives. Not sure I ever disclosed that to him. What I met and ultimately fell in love w/ was not just a beautiful on the outside creature but the most beautiful soul."

The *Beverly Hills, 90210* star dated the *Melrose Place* actor in the '90s. Both also appeared on *Saved by the Bell*, although not in the same episodes — she portrayed Violet Bickerstaff, a love interest for Samuel "Screech" Powers (Dustin Diamond), while he played Jeff Hunter, a new manager at the Max who tries to get between Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Amber Thiessen).

"[Patrick] was multi talented. Passionate about everything he did. And, he had a knack for making others smile & brought absolute joy to everyone that was blessed to be in his orbit. A true gift," she continued. "We shared a love of Broncos, guitars, goofing off, playing tag, and Grease! Loved to belt out Grease. I was Sandy to his Danny! That’s us singing & dancing in 1st pic! 1995 my 22nd birthday."

Spelling went on to say how much he admired his relationship with his sister and parents and his professionalism.

"He always showed up. And, was a true hype man 4 those he cared about. He was a huge part of my formative 20’s. We went on to be good friends! Still laughing & always caring," she wrote. "Decades later I found him to be such a true friend/hype man when I was going thru my divorce. He would call and check on me and send me the worst jokes to make me laugh. He loved when I rolled my eyes. Now I miss those stupid jokes."

Spelling has previously marveled at the fact that her relationship with the actor overlapped with the one he had with Denise Richards, with whom he remained friends after their 2000 breakup.

On a 2025 episode of Richards' reality show *Denise Richards and Her Wild Things*, Spelling quipped, per PEOPLE, "Like, a man stopped seeing Denise Richards for me. F---. I always wanted a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame — I'm fine with this."

Richards confessed that she had been "so jealous" of Spelling when Muldoon called off their relationship. She remembered how he called her "schweet babe."

Spelling then explained that she and Muldoon called one another "f--- face." Muldoon confirmed the term of endearment in a phone call.

"He was special and one of a kind. The kindest most caring human w/ raddest weird sense of humor" Spelling continued in her tribute. "We got each other! Laughed a lot ! I laughed w/him and at him and he loved it. We called each other F---face 😂. That was us!"

Muldoon has been the recipient of numerous heartfelt tributes since he died.

Richards herself said she was "deeply heartbroken & devastated," after losing "my best friend & my family."

"We met in our first acting class," she shared. "I was 19 never had an acting job and you were 21 a student at USC doing a recurring role on who's the boss. And here we are. 36 years later. My whole adult life & I don’t know it without you." She added, "The friendship, love, support, respect & loyalty we had was unconditional and rare."

In a particularly emotional post, Lola Sheen, one of Richards' daughters with Charlie Sheen, lamented the loss.

"I thought you were the one that was supposed be in our lives forever," wrote Sheen, who's 20. "When I think of my childhood I think of you Pat. And it's gonna be so weird to go on without you in our lives. You were such a huge part of our family and life will never feel the same, but that's just because of how much you impacted us."
