Sebastian Maniscalco is everywhere – "SNL" lampooned by Marcello Hernández and then Harry Styles in the sequel sketch, at his Wynn Hotel Las Vegas residency, Hulu's "It Ain't Right" concert hit show. He even popped up in Justin Bieber’s ball pit.
The next logical step had to be 24/7-Maniscalco, which is now reality with the stand-up comic's SiriusXM channel. Channel 99, which launched April 20, features Maniscalco-inspired programming, including the podcast “The Sebastian Maniscalco Show,” formerly “The Pete and Sebastian Show.” (Longtime pod partner Pete Correale is cool with the name change, BTW. “He’s amped,” Maniscalco says.)
The comedy channel won't feature round-the-clock Maniscalco live-riffing, sadly.
“I’m not going to be on there 24/7, but a lot,” Maniscalco tells USA TODAY. “I’ll be populating the channel with content that would interest me.”
Sebastian Maniscalco's Sirius XM comedy channel 99 is up and running.
What interests Maniscalco? Some pertinent preview topics:
The golf game is terrible, but Maniscalco looks good in black
Maniscalco has no golf game, but he's a student of fairway fashion. Not the garish, "bowl of sorbet" colorful club outfits.
"Mine's all black, like I'm going to a funeral. It's very Italian," he says. "So I look good when I suck. I have a bad slice, a bad everything. Hopefully, that will change over time. I'm taking lessons."
The comic has upgraded from the par-three public course he used to frequent after moving to Los Angeles in the '90s. In a golf metaphor, he's now playing the swanky Wynn resort course — a major residency perk he enjoys with his 6-year-old son, Caruso Jack.
Podcast golf topics might include what's in someone's massive pro bag. Maniscalco has his own golf bag secret: "Cologne. You never know when you're going to need a little spritz."
Dog discussions for those who refuse to be 'Dog Dads'
Maniscalco and wife Lana Gomez, along with the kids (Serafina, 9, and Caruso Jack) have welcomed dogs Luigi and Petunia into their lives and homes. First-time dog owner Maniscalco posts adoring photos on Instagram, but his puppy love has limits.
"I say I'm an 'owner,' because I despise 'Dog Dad,' I didn't give birth to the dog, I bought it," says Maniscalco. "I never wanted these dogs to begin with, and I find myself walking them in the yard at 9:30. For me, it's a chore. I don't know what to do with the dog. You throw them the ball a couple of times, and then what? Pet them?"

He believes there's an untapped animal audience.
"We just assume everyone loves cats and dogs," says Maniscalco, who doesn't feel the need for things like dog birthday celebrations. "We were going out somewhere, and my wife is like 'We have to sing 'Happy Birthday' to them.' I said that we can do that tomorrow. It's not like they're looking at the calendar."
Sebastian Maniscalco has his own Sirius XM Comedy Channel.Justin Bieber and 'Does Your Father Know You Dance Like That'?
That was Maniscalco carving pumpkins with Bieber in October on the Biebs' twitch stream at the Bieber mansion. In one epic evening, Maniscalco carved pumpkins, played ping pong, basketball, a little golf with Bieber and company.
"The guy has a ball pit there that I dove into. It was fun. I'm 52 and I'm hanging out with a bunch of 30-year-olds. I could have been their father," says Maniscalco, who unveiled his song, "Does Your Father Know You Dance Like That" to the crew. "It's something I've always said in my head when I walk into a nightclub."
Bieber liked the song which has taken off after Steve Aoki made a dance mix. Maniscalco dances and voices the titular line in the video that's bringing the dad POV to clubs and the festival circuit. You won't catch him at any festivals.
"Anything with massive amounts of people crammed together is not my idea of fun," says Maniscalco. "So you won't see me at Burning Man. None of that. Anything where there's dust."
Maniscalco has a secret Harry Styles connection
When SNL star Hernández imitated Maniscalco on "SNL," the comic got an invite to be part of the skit's tail end. He had to pass due to a contracted gig. The March 14 "SNL" featured host Styles as a courtroom-lawyer imitating Maniscalco. He got a back-channel tip.
"The only reason I was aware is because Harry Styles has the same manager," says Maniscalco, who didn't get cocky. "I'm sure when Harry Styles heard about the skit, he was like, 'Sebastian Who?'"
The two haven't debriefed, or met. But Maniscalco was impressed with Styles: "He committed to it. I have to give it to him. The musician came out with the comedy chops."
Paging Lorne! Real Sebastian Maniscalco is available for 'SNL' hosting
The comic and "The Green Book" star has made it abundantly clear to "SNL" brass and Lorne Michaels that the real Sebastian Maniscalco is available to host for the first time.
"I grew up on 'Saturday Night Live.' Hosting is one of the things I haven't done and a stand-up comedian rite of passage," says Maniscalco. "People over there are well aware of my interest."
