Rumer Willis has responded to “rude” rumors that she gets money from her celebrity parents. Taking to her Instagram Story to clap back at the claim, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore insisted she works four jobs while raising her daughter as a single mom.

To recap, earlier this week, Rumer shared an Instagram Reel of her to-do list. It included laundry, meal prepping, content making, working out, and planning after-school activities. Also on the list were things like drinking water and sleeping.
She captioned the post: “The to-do list is never-ending. I need a nap and a duvet day asap.”
But there was a mixed reaction to the post in the comments section. Some people empathized with single mom Rumer, with one person writing, “Your struggle is your own, and it is real.”
Elsewhere, others weren’t so favorable, with some people accusing the 37-year-old of getting financial help from her A-list parents. This prompted Rumer to post on her Instagram Story to set the record straight.
“I work four different jobs to provide for my daughter,” she wrote. “I am the sole provider.”
Rumer went on: “I don’t live off a trust fund or get money from my parents.”
In a later post on her Story, she clarified further. “I am very aware that I have privileges in my life that many other people don’t,” she said. “This particular post wasn’t about privilege or comparing circumstances.”
Rumer went on to say that her post was intended to “speak to common ground and shared experiences,” rather than “deny reality.”
“I think there’s room for both compassion for what others face and honesty about our own lives,” she concluded.
