Anne Hathaway confirmed she knows the sex of her third baby but is choosing not to share it publicly

Anne Hathaway is sharing whether she knows the sex of her third baby.

The pregnant actress, 43, joined guest host Anthony Anderson on the Monday, Aug. 10 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where the comedian guessed that Hathaway and her husband, Adam Shulman, would be having another boy.

“We know,” responded The End of Oak Street star. “[But] we’re not saying.”

When the audience cheered, Hathaway thanked the crowd and said, “Thank you for the support. It always feels so rude saying that.” She added that she “feels bad” for not publicly sharing the sex of her baby.

Hathaway went on to say that her entire family — including sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6 — are so excited to be welcoming another little one.

“[They’re] over the moon,” she shared. “It feels really beautiful. It feels like the family’s having a baby. I mean, it’ll feel like I’m having a baby while it’s happening, but the emotional feeling is that we’re all going to welcome this little one.”

Earlier on Monday, Hathaway shared a video on Instagram, bringing her followers along as she headed to the red carpet for The End of Oak Street. In the caption of her recap post, the star responded to claims that she’s faking her pregnancy following the viral images from the Sunday night premiere.

“Fake hair, real bump 😘 ✌️🦖🔥☀️🦕😅,” she captioned her video. “Enjoy The @endofoakstreet Block Party chaos with me as my outfit literally melts in the heat!!”

Internet speculation began after the pregnant mom of two showed her bare baby bump in a striking silk crop top and low-rise jeans at the world premiere of her new filmin Los Angeleson Aug. 9.

“I’m sorry but that looks fake,” one user commented on a TikTok of Hathaway from the premiere. “It does look fake. There’s body makeup on it,” a second user wrote, while another added, “Oh come on. That is not real.”

The Odyssey star announced her pregnancy news on June 19, with a video on her Instagram. Wearing a flowy white dress, Hathaway walked into the frame with her arms in front of her stomach. She smiled, cradled her belly and then ran out of frame. “x Baby, I’m yours x,” she captioned the post.

A rep for Hathaway didn’t immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment at the time.
