New York Knicks superfan Ben Stiller is officially making a documentary about his beloved team.
The star of movies such as *There's Something About Mary*, *Night at the Museum*, and *Zoolander*, said Wednesday on the *Roommates Show*, whose hosts include players Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, that the reason he had been on his phone so much while sitting courtside during the NBA Finals was because of the film.
"I'm really excited to announce that we are officially making a documentary about the New York Knicks for HBO. And doing it with A24 and official cooperation of MSG," Stiller said of Madison Square Garden, which is the team's home court. "And NBA."
He explained that he'd "been shooting some stuff on my phone," which is why he relied on his device so heavily.
The project is "kind of gonna be about all eras of the Knicks," Stiller said. "And this team, obviously, there's a culmination here of something that has been going on for a long time."
He said he'd appreciated having so much access to the team and that "we're probably going to be shooting a little bit more during next season."
