A surprising update has emerged in the case of Madonna’s missing Coachella outfits. The pop icon recently revealed that several vintage pieces she wore during the festival had disappeared, prompting concern among fans. However, early findings from a police report suggest the situation may not involve theft after all.

Police investigation reportedly claims Madonna’s outfits ‘have fallen off a golf cart’

According to a statement attributed to the Indio Police Department, the missing items were last seen in transit rather than in a secured location (via TMZ). Authorities reportedly said the clothing and jewelry had been placed in bags on a golf cart at the Empire Polo Grounds before they went missing.

A preliminary investigation, as described by police, suggests the bags “may have fallen off a golf cart” while staff were transporting them. The items were reportedly being moved to a bus shortly after Madonna’s performance when the issue occurred. It was only later, upon reaching their destination, that the staff realized the bags were no longer with them.

Officials have emphasized that, based on current findings, there is “no evidence to suggest” the items were deliberately stolen. However, the investigation is ongoing, and authorities have encouraged anyone who may have come across the missing belongings to come forward.

The situation gained attention after Madonna shared her concerns publicly. Following her performance alongside Sabrina Carpenter, she revealed that several pieces from her personal archive had gone missing. The items reportedly included a jacket, corset, and other garments worn during the show.

In her Instagram Story, the “Material Girl” singer described the outfits as more than just stagewear. “These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history,” she wrote, while asking for help in locating them. She also expressed hope that someone might return the items and reportedly offered a reward.

The performance itself marked a special moment for the artist, making the outfits’ disappearance even more significant. Still, if the police’s current theory proves accurate, the case may shift from a potential theft to a matter of misplaced property.
