The singer popped the question to British stage actress Natalie McQueen at his "happiest place" — Disneyland — and shared the happy news on Instagram on Tuesday, April 21

Josh Groban is engaged to British stage actress Natalie McQueen — and he says the proposal unfolded at his "happiest place."

The "You Raise Me Up" singer, 54, announced the happy news on Instagram on Tuesday, April 21, sharing photos of his romantic proposal, which took place at Disneyland.

"MY BEST FRIEND SAID YES!!!" he wrote. "Sharing this life with you is my happiest place, @nataliemcqueen."

Groban also thanked Disney Weddings for "helping make the best day of our lives (so far) so magical."

Photos showed the newly engaged couple kissing by a pagoda decorated with flowers at night. Another featured the couple's clasped hands by a white cake decorated with the word "Congratulations" and three red hearts. McQueen's dazzling diamond ring was on display.

Groban and McQueen, who has performed in dozens of theater shows, made their relationship Instagram official on Valentine's Day in 2023. The two both shared the same photo of the pair in bed together. She captioned hers, "Happy Valentine’s Day to the greatest ever. You make me the happiest."

The Grammy nominee captioned his photo, "Happy Valentine's Day to this remarkable woman who makes me so gosh dang stupid happy.”

Since then, they have shared occasional glimpses into their romance, including vacations together.

In September 2023, Groban shared that they had enjoyed their first trip to Disney World together.

"Epic week with my love experiencing my first ever (!!!) trip to Disney World Florida!" he wrote on Instagram. "We rode rides and drank green beer and experienced a Disney Halloween in 92-degree September heat!! So fun!!”

The post included a sweet photo of the couple kissing in front of Cinderella's castle.

In an interview with PEOPLE in Sept. 2024, Groban opened up about the couple's romance.

"We really like to communicate," Groban said. “We're both people pleasers and we're both introverts, so that can sometimes mean that it takes a little bit of prodding, like, 'No, how are you really feeling?' And so we always just want to make things great for each other."

He added, “And so I think we really had to make a point to time out with each other and say, check in. 'How are we doing? How are things feeling? How was your day?' "

"And I think to be able to really talk about things like that and also just sense of humor so forth, we make each other laugh just absolutely constantly,” Groban continued. “And at the end of the day, we just love each other a lot, respect each other and try to make each day better than less.”
