Josh Allen has a new outlook on life now that he's a dad.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback, 29, addressed the media in a press conference on Monday, April 20, where he answered a question about how becoming a father has changed his perspective on football and life. Allen and wife Hailee Steinfeld recently announced they welcomed their first baby together, with the new mom sharing the news on her Substack.
"I mean, I think it definitely changes mindset a little bit. I'm very excited," he began. "I do think this is going to be the best version of myself. You know, in all aspects, in my professional career, in my personal life."
"It's such a blessing, and I've got an absolute rockstar of a wife that's doing so many things right now and allowing me to be here right now and be with my teammates," he continued, noting it's a "special time."

" I wouldn't want it any other way," Allen added. "It's very rewarding."
Steinfeld, 29, first announced that she welcomed her baby girl with her husband in a post on her Substack, titled "Special Delivery."

"Our baby girl has arrived!!" Steinfeld wrote in the newsletter. "We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savoring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes."

On Friday, April 3, Steinfeld shared a brief update in another Substack post, writing, "Thank you for all your kind words and messages yesterday!"
"To say we are unbelievably happy and in love with this baby girl would be an understatement. I’m soaking in the newborn bliss, but I’ll still be writing here every week."

In a January press conference, Allen revealed he was excited to be a dad and is looking forward to that next chapter in his life with Steinfeld.
"It's something that I will take with great pride. And we're going to have to figure things out on the go, just like anything else," he said. "But this is the most important thing I'll ever be in my life, being a dad. And I know I love being a football player, and I love being a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. But I'm looking forward to this one."
