Hudson Williams decided Valentine’s Day was the perfect time to stop being coy about his love life. The Heated Rivalry star, who’s spent months dodging questions about his relationship status, posted a Valentine’s Day tribute on Instagram Stories that can only be described as a full relationship reveal—well, sort of.

The 25-year-old Canadian actor shared a collage of cozy photos featuring his unnamed girlfriend, including mirror selfies with his arms wrapped around her and an overhead shot of the couple lounging in bed. Along with a red heart emoji, Williams wrote, “Happy Valentine’s Day.”

But the real showstopper? His caption reveals she’s been with him “since my 2000 gold Mazda Protégé smoked and squealed and I had no job.” Nothing says true love like sticking around through the squeaky-car-and-unemployment era.

Williams also gave a shoutout to his Heated Rivalry co-star Connor Storrie in the most adorable way possible. One photo showed his girlfriend sitting in a restaurant booth next to Storrie, with Williams drawing a red heart around Connor’s face. On the show, Storrie plays Ilya Rozanov, the rival hockey player and secret love interest of Williams’ character Shane Hollander.

The timing is particularly interesting given Williams’ previous frustration with gossip about his personal life. Back in December, after Deuxmoi’s podcast mentioned rumors about his alleged tattoo artist girlfriend, he fired back on Instagram with, “You know what, I’ve grown quite unfond of you deuxmoi.”

Williams has been clear about maintaining boundaries between his public and private personas. He told Deadline, “I think there’s never a question for me, when I would dream of becoming in the public eye, that I would want just a level of privacy.”

The Heated Rivalry stars have faced ongoing speculation about their relationship and sexuality since the Crave and HBO Max series premiered. Williams has addressed this by emphasizing the importance of authentic queer storytelling while maintaining that his personal life is his own business.

At least now, fans know one thing for certain: Hudson Williams is very much taken, and she’s been ride-or-die since the Mazda days.
