Heather Rae and Tarek El Moussa shared family photos from their Cabo San Lucas, Mexico vacation after a home burglary

The couple's home was broken into while they were away and irreplaceable family heirlooms were stolen

They previously thanked law enforcement for their response and shared that they're prioritizing family safety and security moving forward

Heather Rae El Moussa is staying focused on what really matters.

Following a scary break-in at her and husband Tarek's Southern California home while they were away on vacation, the HGTV and Selling Sunset star, 38, is offering a look inside the family getaway that was the reason they were out of town.

"Building a lifetime of 'remember when' with our favorite people," Heather captioned a series of photos shared to her Instagram account on Tuesday, June 16. "My entire heart in a series of photos. Time moves so fast, but nothing beats the feeling of seeing our big family all together. These memories are my greatest treasure."

Included in the mix were snaps of her and Tarek, 44, holding their 3-year-old son Tristan during their trip, which took place in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The next few slides showed the couple's extended family members who were also in attendance, including Heather's parents, Tarek's mom and sister, and Tarek's two older children — son Brayden, 10, and daughter Taylor, 15 — from his previous marriage to ex Christina Haack.

Other photos showed Tarek and Heather posing for a selfie together, along with a sweet snap of the Selling Sunset realtor sitting on her husband's lap in a lounge chair outside.

Heather's post, which was shared jointly with Tarek, comes after the couple's home was burglarized while they were away on the trip.

The reality star shared some updates to her Instagram Stories earlier this week and let her followers know how their family was doing after the incident.

Over a photo of her holding Tristan as they sat on the floor together, Heather explained, "Home is still our sanctuary. Some snuggle time to recharge our batteries for the week ahead."

In the following slide, she penned a longer update: "Thank you again to everyone that has reached out for support & love. It didn't go unnoticed. So sorry if we haven't responded to them all. We are continuing to get back to our normal routine and prioritize our [family's] safety."

The burglary occurred between Saturday, June 6 and Monday, June 8, the Newport Beach Police Department previously told PEOPLE. The department confirmed that jewelry was stolen from the residence, adding that "unknown suspects accessed the backyard of the property and shattered a rear sliding glass door to get into the house."

The department noted, "Inside the residence, the suspects ransacked the primary bedroom closet before fleeing through the backyard, along the side of the house and out the front yard."
