New details surrounding Faizon Love's finances have been revealed.

The actor, best known for his role as the Gimbel's store manager in *Elf*, reportedly owes hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support. TMZ reported that Love is unable to pay the amount related to his recent arrest amid the ongoing paternity case.

Tiffany Lee, with whom Love is in a legal dispute, alleged that Love owes him $250,000, which the actor cannot pay, claiming that he hasn't made any money in recent years.

According to *TMZ*, the highest gross income Love had earned in the last five years was reportedly $13,000. The actor claimed he made $0 last year.

According to Orient Road Jail records reviewed by **, Love was arrested on Tuesday, June 16, and booked on two charges of contempt of court in Tampa after he reportedly failed to appear for a previously scheduled hearing and failed to provide court-requested documents. He is being held without bond.

This arrest isn't the first of Love's legal troubles. In 2017, the actor was accused of assault in an incident that involved a 24-year-old valet at John Glenn Columbus International Airport in Ohio. He pleaded no contest, paying a $500 fine and receiving a 180-day suspended sentence, local outlet WBNS reported.

The *Friday* actor was also accused last year of assaulting a hotel worker following a 2024 incident in which he allegedly became "agitated and aggressive" after learning there were no open rooms at the San Diego Sheraton Hotel. According to the complaint, Love "forcefully ripped the credit card reader off the counter and hurled it at" the worker, "striking her on the right side of her head."

When the lawsuit was filed, San Diego County Sheriff's Office records revealed there was an outstanding warrant for Love's arrest from 2024 for the felony charge of assault using a deadly weapon. The 2024 warrant is no longer active.
