Donna Mills reveals exactly how “steamy” Knots Landing scenes with Ted Shackelford were.
“I mean, look at Ted,” she said. “I mean, really, get into bed with that body — and he’s such a sweetheart.”
The 85-year-old actress launched an OnlyFans account in late July for the “opportunity for a more personal and direct connection” with her fan base.
Donna Mills is not afraid to kiss and tell about a former castmate.
The actress, who recently joined OnlyFans at 85 years young, opened up about the sizzling scenes she filmed with Knots Landing costar Ted Shackelford. When asked exactly how steamy things got between them for their scenes together as Abby Cunningham and Gary Ewing, she admitted they were indeed “steamy.”
“I mean, look at Ted,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I mean, really, get into bed with that body — and he’s such a sweetheart. He really is. It was, it was fun. I can’t deny it. It was fun.”
Abby and Gary had a complicated relationship on the 1980s soap opera, which was a spinoff of Dallas. With Abby’s constant scheming and Gary’s connection to the wealthy Ewing family of oil barons, fans tuned in every week to see what major scandal would rock the tony California town.

The soap opera star also reflected on past risqué photoshoots she participated in.
“I never showed it all,” she admitted. “I did a layout for Playboy, and in the layout, I had two people with me at the entire photo session — my publicist and my hairdresser — who made sure nothing was... no boob, no butt, no everything was covered.”
Mills called the shoot, “sexy as hell, ‘cause the legs were showing, and it was all draped and stuff like that, but nothing really was showing.” By “holding a little bit back,” the result was “much sexier,” she explained.
The photoshoot that Mills spoke about wasn’t used for the cover of Playboy, she added, because she didn’t “show anything.”
“I was pissed,” she concluded.

Less than two weeks earlier, Mills announced that she was joining OnlyFans, the subscription-based platform celebrities are turning to for interacting with their fans.
“I’ve always appreciated the incredible support and encouragement I’ve received from my fans over the years. Social media has been a wonderful way to stay connected,” Mills said in a statement via Variety at the time.
“But I’m excited to join OnlyFans because it offers the opportunity for a more personal and direct connection.”

As for how exactly she wants create the “personal and direct” connection, Mills anticipated “sharing moments from my daily life, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and engaging with fans in a more meaningful way.”
“It’s simply another platform to spend quality time with the people who’ve supported me throughout my career, while staying true to who I am,” she said.

Speaking on the Knots Landing podcast We’re Knot Done Yet with former castmates Joan Van Ark and Michele Lee, Mills teased what subscribers may find on her page — and that she will keep things tasteful.
“I don’t wanna do anything that’s salacious, you know what I mean?” she said the day after she announced her OnlyFans account. “I don’t wanna do that. That isn’t my personality. That isn’t what I feel good doing. But if it’s cute and sexy and like that, we’ll see. We’ll see what the fans want.”
Other celebrities to join the platform recently include Scary Movie and American Pie star Shannon Elizabeth, My Name Is Earl’s Jaime Pressly, and Battlestar Galactica alum Tricia Helfer.
