- Craig Melvin has a bone to pick with a certain beloved food item.
- The *Today* host didn't hold back when asked to participate in "I Don't Think So, Honey," a minute-long segment from the *Las Culturistas* podcast.
- Hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers were stunned while reacting to Melvin's impassioned speech about his hatred of... peanut butter.
Craig Melvin has been holding his tongue for too long.
On Tuesday, the *Today* host shared his unexpected truth with the world: he hates peanut butter and he's ready for everyone to know it.
The broadcast saw Melvin joined by* Las Culturistas* hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, who invited Melvin to recreate one of his favorite segments from their hit podcast: "I Don't Think So, Honey."
Just as the title indicates, the segment is a chance to go off about something in pop culture that the speaker isn't fond of. Tapping Melvin for the game, Yang put 30 seconds on the clock. While Melvin initially seemed caught off guard and appeared to search his mind for a subject, once the rant began, he was unstoppable.
"I don't think so, honey: peanut butter," Melvin began, earning gasps from the duo. "George Washington Carver created the peanut, he gave that to us. He created 350 other products, none of them peanut butter."

Melvin complained, "At some point, someone decided they wanted to make a buck. They perverted the peanut!"
Slamming the spread for its " cement-y" texture and "terrible" smell, Melvin pointed out that peanut butter tends to "take over the flavor of anything that it's on."
Growing more intense by the second, he then leveled his chief complaint against peanuts: that they are an imposter among other nuts.
Bowen Yang says he never felt 'that central' to 'Saturday Night Live'

"It’s a legume," Melvin exclaimed. "It’s an edible seed inside a pod. It’s not even a real nut! Walnuts? Salute. Pistachio? Salute. Cashew? Salute. Peanut butter? I don’t think so, honey!"
By the end of his rant, both Yang and Rogers were sitting back in astonishment and erupted into cheers when he concluded.
"Craig Melvin, everybody," the *Saturday Night Live* alum proclaimed, applauding.

"That was an all-timer, sir," Rogers said as he shook Melvin's hand.
For his part, Melvin admitted that he's long needed an outlet for his peanut butter take.
"If you can't tell, a lot of that has been inside for a long time," he shared.

Melvin's peanut butter rant joins an "I Don't Think So, Honey" pantheon that includes his fellow *Today* host Jenna Bush Hager laying into schools for banning books; Yang complaining about the struggle to buy produce as a single, childless person; and Tina Fey warning celebrity podcasters not to share their true feelings about movies because "authenticity is dangerous and expensive."
