The band promises special surprises for the New Year’s Eve show
The Backstreet Boys are inviting fans to travel Into the Millennium for New Year’s Eve.
On Monday, Aug. 10, the boy band announced three additional dates for their Into the Millennium residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, happening on Dec. 31, Jan. 1 and Jan. 2.
“We’re definitely going to bring it,” AJ McLean, 48, tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Howie Dorough adds, “If you came to the last New Year’s concert, you know there’s a little special [something] that we try to implement... We haven’t exactly cooked up what that’s going to be yet, but it’s going to be something cool.”
Though those special surprises are still in the works, the band says the show will start later than usual that night to properly ring in the new year.

Tickets for the new dates will be available during the Backstreet Boys Fan Club presale on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. PT. An artist presale, which fans can sign up for here, will follow beginning on Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. PT. The general sale will begin on Friday, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. PT at backstreetboys.com.
The Backstreet Boys first launched the residency in July 2025 and they’ve since performed 47 sold-out shows. At their shows, fans dress in all white as an ode to the cover of their hit 1999 album Millennium.

In June, the band released their latest song “Bottle Up” for Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie. At the premiere, Kevin Richardson and Snoop Dogg finally met after years of social media users insisting they looked like twins — and the band posted about it on Instagram.
Speaking with PEOPLE in February, the band detailed their pre-show rituals and the few things they’ve implemented as the years have gone by — like stretching.
“For a long stretch there, I would look at all of us in the dressing room, and maybe one of us might be stretching, but for the most part, we weren’t,” McLean said at the time. “Now I’m pretty sure we’re all stretching before a show, before vocal warmups. About 90% of the show is full-out dancing. So we gotta be as limber as we can be.”
